Perpetual Groove Fall/Winter 2010 Tour Schedule Announced
image As we approach the end of the summer season, everyone at Perpetual Groove is looking ahead and ready to get down and dirty for the upcoming fall and winter tour season. Today we are officially announcing the upcoming 2010 Fall/Winter tour schedule!

We've got a fun session planned for the last quarter of the year with tour stops scheduled for some of our favorite places: Oxford, MS - Washington D.C. - New York, NY - Richmond, VA - Austin, TX - Ft. Lauderdale, FL and many many more! How do you top a night in New York City at The Bowery Ballroom? By crossing the bridge and planting the PGroove flag at the legendary Brooklyn Bowl - it's guaranteed to be an unforgettable night. Be sure to get your tickets early for this one, as they will go quick! And we'll be returning to one of our favorite new venues in the mid-atlantic area, the 9:30 Club in the nation's capital, Washington D.C. Like The National in Richmond, VA, this is a show not to be missed!

Halloween 2010 is an event we're freaking about! We're taking the show on the road and bringing it to another new favorite place, The Jefferson Theatre in Charlottesville, VA. We'll be announcing the theme in the coming weeks, but rest assured, it'll be another total PGroove Freak out and we can't wait to throw down for what might be one of the biggest highlights of the fall season.

Perpetual Groove will be making some festival appearances in the coming months as well - performing for the first time at The Muddy River Jam in Woodstown, NJ, gracing the stage at the Inaugural Blackwater Music Festival in late August at the always enjoyable Suwanee Music Park in Live Oak, FL and a performance at the 11th Annual Summer Fest in Turin, NY. And finally, we're very excited to be returning to The Bear Creek Music Fest in Live Oak, FL for two sets on November 12th and 13th. Bear Creek has been a staple in the band's tour calendar since it's inception, and we're honored to be returning for another chilly night in Florida.

We're closing out 2010 in the same fashion we rang it in - TWO NIGHTS AT THE VARIETY PLAYHOUSE IN ATLANTA, GA !!!! We had so much fun blowing the roof off the place in 09, we're coming back one more time to do it again. Tickets will be on sale next week, so be sure to lock in early so as not to get shut out!

Keep your eyes on the .com for additional tour dates to be added in the next two weeks, including Midwest tour stops and additional Mid-Atlantic / Northeast dates.

    R.I.P. The Unforgettable Brad Robinson
image We are deeply saddened about the loss of our friend and companion on the road, Brad Robinson. Brad was a friend to all of us first and foremost, a perpetual fan of the band who worked tirelessly to turn on as many people as he could, a booming voice heard not just at the shows, but online too. He touched a great deal of people with his huge smile, his boisterous personality, and his zeal for live music and living life to the fullest. He was a great friend who stood by the side of those who needed him and the world is a little bit more lonely today with his passing. These tiny words cannot do justice to just how big Brad was to all of us. Our condolences go out to Brad's family, loved ones, and to all of those he touched while he intersected our lives.

His care-free swagger was a fine invention:
Life was too slow, too regular, too grave.
With horse and sword he drew the girls' attention,
A conquering hero, bountiful and brave,

To whom teen-agers looked for liberation:
At his command they left behind their mothers,
Their wits were sharpened by the long migration,
His camp-fires taught them all the horde were brothers.

    -W.H. Auden

So long old friend, you are gone, but you will not be forgotten.

Online condolences may be offered at http://www.bernsteinfuneralhome.com, on his Facebook page here, or the newly created Facebook group that celebrates Brad's life here.
