Honey Cuts presents three out takes from the Heal sessions - Space Paranoids, Cairo, and The Noise. While all three tracks were in contention to be featured on Heal, the band ultimately decided the tracks were better left off the release as they did not “fit” the overall timeless quality of the compositions contained within Heal. All three tracks feature a subtle infusion of the live show, including loops and effects that were absent from the songs released on the full album. The title of the EP is taken from the song “Honey Cuts” which is actually featured on Heal.

Heal is the first Perpetual Groove studio album to feature new keyboardist, John Hruby. It also marks the first time the band has recorded in their hometown of Athens, GA under the direction of David Barbe (Drive by Truckers, Cracker.) The sound of Heal combines the band’s famed melodic tunes with highly personalized lyrics in order to create an entirely new experience. “We wanted to make a record unlike any previous effort,” said keyboardist John Hruby, “to expand the elements of Perpetual Groove that fans are accustomed to, with a new sense of vigor, sparked by the lineup change.” Heal was mastered by Greg Calbi in New York at Sterling Sound and features a limited edition lenticular 3D album cover designed by famed rock artist, Jeff Wood.

Perpetual Groove ventures into darker territory on their second release with Robert Hannon at Tree Sound Studios. LiveLoveDie was produced with renewable energy credits in conjunction with Sustainable Waves and The Green Mountain Energy Company. In addition, all of the packaging is created with 100% post-consumer/industrial waste and is printed with biodegradable soy based inks.

Perpetual Groove’s second release showcases a more thoughtful approach to the recording process and marks the first time the band works with Grammy winning producer Robert Hannon. Features guest violinist Caroline Pond on the title track.

Perpetual Groove’s debut recording with the modern line-up. This record lays the foundation for the Perpetual Groove sound, and features guest vocalist Scott Baston, of Moonshine Still on the title track. This is a must have for any Perpetual Groove fan.
