I thought the set-up was perfect for the situation. The show was added late, there was no advertising, it was free, etc. etc. Had Brock been on the stage with the same amount of people, it would’ve felt akward. Wil/Brock/Ben were spot on with the turn-out. Though, might I suggest next time some additional ropes. Make a “pit” style area up front reserved for no-talking and an area in the back that is chit-chat friendly. If you feel the urge to talk, take it to the back. Maybe a no whistling during 2/7 policy, too? I mean, really….can’t people whistle loudly to songs I don’t like, when I’m in the bathroom, or outside smoking? sheeeesh.
Of the They Might Be Giants Thursday, Galactic Friday, and Brock Saturday shows, I enjoyed Saturday night the most. Something about that guy and his guitar (alright, and a few pedals) that always puts a smile on my face. It doesn’t matter if he’s playing to five, five hundred, or five thousand.
