if anything I’d love to see PG open for MMJ
that would be sweet Luke if they did have to open for someone.

i love the tlg east/west swap idea. that would be very beneficial to both bands.
but out of all the names, i think i would have to agree with some of you on the MMJ thatd be something.

i think they just need to find ‘better’ local opening acts who would bring people with them. I know that if they grabed one of a couple local bands here in Baltimore and set them up as their opener - they would bring in more peeps. with that being said I have seen them in 20 months going from playing infront of 40 people at the rams head to 120+ at the Recher Theater on a night when the Biscuits were 10mins down the road playing a 11pm-4am show. Steady growth IMO.
They dont need to open for anyone. although I would pay $ to attend either luke’s or billy’s tours

Dolian - 30 October 2007 10:22 AM They played to like 15 people one time in Atlanta.
I don’t think they play to anymore people in the NE than pgroove does in the SE. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if pgroove draws more in the SE than The Slip in the NE. Plus, as much as I like The Slip, I don’t see them getting anywhere with their live show. Brad’s live vocals are bad enough to turn people off from their music (not me) and I just don’t see them building any momentum touring. I think album releases are their bread and butter right now. Like I said, an up and coming band like ALO or TLG would fit pgroove much better.
seems ive heard that the slip can pull more in the NE and canada than pg can in the SE plus pg only plays a one set show up north anyway why wouldnt they just open for a band that pulls more fans up there?

theres no way in hell the slip pulls more up here than pgroove does down south…and the baltimore and nyc were the first one set shows in the northeast

alex - 30 October 2007 10:31 PM like the bridge!
exactly alex. Umphreys has had them open 2 times around here and they sold out both times. 1 at the Recher and then less than 6 months later at the Rams head (talking close to 1k people).
Bands like the Bridge have the fan base, have the ability to spread the word locally, and will bring in 30-100 more people depending on the venue and the night. symbiosis my friends symbiosis

as a music fan, I would have to agree with you
I used to really like them, but that’s faded quickly in the last few years.
Good Lord don’t let P-Groove and RAQ Tour happen!!!

nightperson - 30 October 2007 11:22 AM i’d like to see some “perpetual box” myself- have boombox open and play set break- PG would not get anything from this unless they played muscle shoals but it would be a good show
unfortunately boombox is also southern and I think they would be doing most of the opening but when this combo does happen out of convenience… awsome shows!

i would see them no matter who they opened for, but it would be real cool with TLG or moe.
opening for moe. would be a perfect way to break into the buffalo market. three nights of moe. and P-groove. three different venues. now that would be sick.
really though, i dont care who they open for, just come to buffalo already!

seems the moe./pg tandem would work very well, imo.
also, have to second the “come to buffalo”...or just western/central ny in general. buffalo, syracuse, ithaca, utica are all college towns that would bring out new fans. never really understood why they limit themselves to just albany in terms of upstate. not that i’m complaining, i live here! haha. just think it would serve them well to tap into these markets. they did have a show scheduled for the electric company in utica last fall i believe, but it got cancelled.

PG and Raq tour would be sweet. I just saw raq in ATL and yes, they are getting way heavier. . . .but there’s no question those dudes can all shred. Todd Stoops is an octopus on keys!

I think a co-headlining tour with EOTO on the west coast would be a great idea. PGroove is not that big on the west coast and it could get them out there to do some shows and spread their name. Just the same EOTO is not that big in the south-east so they could get their name out here.

Stoops is one of the best key players right now IMO. Not too may players can do what he is capable of.

I’d change my opinion for this one. Eoto>PGroove-2sets>Eoto

I’d say P Groove/TLG, but TLG is redefining themselves as an east coast band, so I still wouldn’t get a show

I want to see The Frequency open for pgroove on some southern dates, then play some shows with them out west.

NO PGROOVE and RAQ! TLG would be straight, but the slip would be awesome. By the way does any one have any idea when pgrooves going to break into the memphis, tn market? they dont stop there often and last time they did it snowed. its my home town and a lot of people there dont have a clue about PG, i figure they got the rest of tennesse but not many shows in mtown, breaks my heart.
