The BC site says they are playing two sets. Now, I’m no authority on such things, but unless they play twice on Friday or one of those sets turns out to be Thursday the 15th, that Canal Club show on the 17th seems pretty unlikely.

Canopy was really cool, too bad they got cut short bc they ran out of time. Really good show, weak turnout, but PG was really good. Chicago had a great crowd, not too big, but descent.

Damn. I was hoping they would come back this Fall.
I wonder if they will ever play the new Toad’s Place?
That venue is SO nice and it would be awesome to see P Groove play there.

Richmond has a brand new venue now, Toads Place http://www.toadsplacerva.com/home/
P.Groove should STOP playing Canal Club. That place blows. Sound sucks, pillars are in the way, no space for a good light show…
I really hope they start playing at Toads soon. I hear great things about it.

I agree that the Canal Club sux big time. The only reason I go there is because of P Groove.
I’ve been to Toad’s twice already and that place is saweet! Nice hardwood floors, great beer on tap selection, and the sound is great from wherever you stand. They even have raised sides for people to chill.
It’s a no smoking venue, but re-entry is allowed and it is located on a canal, so there are plenty of places to walk and chill out.
Here is a picture I took last week of the beer selection because I knew people would ask.

I’ll say this about Toad’s Place- It says Capicity 1400; its should around 900.
I went there to see moe. a few weeks ago. Upon walking in I was blown away by how great the place looked. Great Looking room . I was reading for the show!!!
Fast Foward 1 Hour. The Floor was overflowing with people, nowhere to move. If you were in the crowd, good luck moving. Bar in the back had no line, because you couldn’t get to it. Went upstairs, only the people on the railing could see the band. The rest of the folks were turned sideways watching and dancing to a large TV projecting the band on it. Good size area for it, but a big waste of room. Very strange seeing a crowd of people watching and dancing to a TV screen. The Bar was over flowing. 2 bartenders- 30-45min wait for a drink. No re-entering the building at all after you enter, which is a shame because it has one of the best enterances I’ve every seen, right on a canal.
Sorry to be so negative, its the 1st moe. show I didn’t love. Just couldn’t get into it.
On a postive note, I don’t think Pgroove draws as many people. So it may be the perfect room for them, the lights were set up great. It’s a great room, in a great location (not sketchy Richmond) with alot of thought put into it, but has alot of room that is wasted in it. I will go back to it again to see Pgroove to give it anotther shot. It just made me realize never to see moe. again in a standing room only venue.

^^Matt described our moe. experience perfectly. The place is sooo nice when you walk in, but then it got full and they continued to let in hundreds of more people to the point that it was just miserable. Setbreak was ridiculous; 1400 people all trying to move through one 3 foot wide space to get to upstairs or to the bar or to the bathroom. I had a full on panic attack from the crowd, tried to get a drink of water to help me calm down, waited 35 minutes, and never even got my freaking water. I’ve never wanted a show to end so badly. The only redemption was the Once in a Lifetime encore.
It might be a cool place for pgroove, or it might be just as bad as at the moe. show, I’m not sure. I just think the logistics of the place can’t handle 1400 people. Hopefully it would be better with less people.

I have heard a few good things about Toads. Personally I can’t wait to get a show there. Sarah and Matt, sucks that you guys did not have a good experience there. I’m sure that in time, they will draw back on tickets once they realize that they are over selling it. Then again maybe not. Good to hear that it is a smoke free venue. Nothing that I hate more than coming home smelling like I smoked a carton of smokes.
How was the sound there???

This seems really simple.
The band will be in Quincy, FL on 11/17. I think I have said enough.

The Lincoln was selling tickets for the supposed 11/3 show, but it seems the show isn’t happening.

Very strange. I even have friends that got thier tickets already.
Has management addressed this?
I’m trying to switch shifts with someone so I can go but would hate to go through the trouble if I don’t need to.
