I def see your point about being overshadowed…. but man p. groove is a solid band that can hold their own. I think that festivals do some dis-service. As much fun as they are, they don’t really showcase a bands true uh… mindblowing-ness…. in a 45-60 minute slot, especially if it is during a hot day with smaller turn out than a night slot.

 

I just read through this thread again and realized that you meant pgroove would overshadow another band… gotcha now. sorry to confuse your words. You are very right.

I THINK that’s what he meant…..knowing RandALL like I do, I’m pretty sure that’s what he meant.

the overshadowing would go either way- for this to benefit PG they need to go bigger-  be the warm up band-  i am sure they would not be keen on that

Speaking of overshadowing, here’s a tidbit: Bob Marley and the Wailers got kicked off the tour opening for Sly & The Family Stone due to overshadowing/outplaying.

Oh my god yes. I would go to every show.

you know though, hooking up with other regional bands might work, like U-Melt up north and then trade off down here, or New Monsoon in California.

good thing some of you don’t book tours hehe
