It is about letting go of the mental part of ourselves, that needs everything around us to be our version of perfect…

[ THEN . ]

Then you are connected to that level of energy that the band is tapped into ,when they are playing and where the fans are that are in a place of love and laughter!

In spirit of the holiday, thank you PGroove and thank you my chosen family, for the wonderful memories, laughter, love and fabulous dance parties!!!!!

Hugs and smiles!

Seriously, were you at Ziggy’s?  He paid his $ and is entitled to his opinion.  Wasn’t there something in the Forum Rules about personal attacks?  Someone call a moderator LOL

Apples and oranges for me having been at both.  Really, really fucking good apples and oranges I might add.

Friday’s show was indeed good…very good.

Did I think that it was best ever? I think that the energy in there represented a top 5 show for sure. It was electric most of the night. Just walking in there and seeing the faces and the Theatre was all I needed for it to be a above average show, to say the least.

My experience of the GATH was over the top. The roof was a great place to sit back and catch a breather, a beer and catch up with old friends that came out of the wood work for this show. The walls, the photos, the use of space…the SOUND. Awesome. Instantly a venue that I will make it a point to return to very soon.

Musically…I thought that the band was right on. Personally, I didn’t think it was best ever material from start to finish, but there were moments of glory for sure. There were some rushed moments and maybe a moment of awkwardness as well.  I can’t even imagine the gamut of emotions that ran through the guys. Friday night was filled with really exciting moments followed by really excited playing. I’m excited to see what they can do once Matt gets his rig. Once that happens, I think that you’ll hear “best ever material” from start to finish.

My highlights were Lemurs and Bobblehead from the first set, and the whole second set was fire…especially Sleep Now In The Fire. I’m not sure about the Epilogue with Karolyn Troupe. It looked as though she didn’t know what she was singing.
