Okay, so this thread is for all those folks that either complain (or silently agree with some of the comments - that includes me) about aspects of PGroove’s promotions and notoriety. Prior to complaining about the tour; the t-shirts; the albums; the merchandise; the flyers; the posters, etc etc etc; why not join one of the new (at least new to me) social media sites that are developing and make PGroove the number 1 band on these sites. Since they are relatively new, smaller numbers have to ability to influence the site more than a year or two from now when the numbers have grown.
No, I am not talking about Facebook or MySpace (if anyone still uses that). I am talking about GetGlue (the other 2 new media sites only deal with TV - Philo & Miso). Disclaimer: I own no interest in this site and just learned about it myself. It is a way to share with others what you are doing, but less “shotgun” than FB. Think of it as a cross between FB and Twitter. You click on what you are doing, listening to, etc and it tells others about it. The more hits (or clicks) something gets, the more it shows up on other’s pages. It is my understanding that eventually the marketing forces are going to include coupons for those things you like and rate (but I am not aware of that happening now).
Anyway, here is a simple way for us to promote the boys. So, check out this article that alerted it to my attention and gives some info. Then join and tell it you are listening to PGroove once a day (which is required listening JUST to be a member of TIP anyway!!
