Airports:
Charlottesville has an airport (CHO) about 20-25 minutes from the Downtown/Corner areas.  You could also fly in to Richmond (RIC), its about an hour and a half drive from RIC to C’Ville.

Hotels:

Not sure about hotels around the Downtown Mall, but Red Roof, Courtyard Marriott, and Hampton Inn are all on/near the Corner which is just a 5-10 minute cab ride from the Jefferson Theater.  Red Roof has been my go to every time I’ve gone back to C’Ville.

If anyone is looking for fun things to do during the day on Saturday, I recommend going to King Family Vineyards in Crozet and doing some wine tasting, its about 25ish minutes from town.  Should be a great time of the year to sit outside for a few hours in the afternoon.  I went to Charlotesville a few weekends ago for a wedding and we got a Wahooptie (an awesome cab company that has old suburbans and limos, and vans) van to take 12 of us from the Red Roof to King Family for a really good price.  I can’t remember exactly what it was but it amounted to a lot less than it would have been if we had taken 3 cabs.  If any of yall end up doing this and have the time, have the driver stop at the Bellaire Market along the way and get some sandwiches to take out there.  Makes for a great afternoon.

Also, if you’re the historical type, Monticello is close by and a great place to go tour.

Happy to see the pre-planning ladies and gents. Right now I have a tentative reservation at the Holiday Inn Cville-Monitcello. 1 mile from the venue. I am down for a suite somewhere else if needed/interested. Flying into and out of RIC (10/27-31). I will have a car and will be heading to Raleigh on the 29th from Herndon to be with Kettler n friends in my natural habitat.

Boww Boww…....  chicka chickhuh….

Who is going to the Disco Biscuits on the 31st in C’ville?  They just announced an additional late night set (also at the Jefferson Theater) after playing the pavilion.  Lots of VA & mid-atlantic Halloween shows this year ...  Torn between Robert Randolph @ the 9:30 club, or Hampton for the 29th.

Joe - Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Monticello is where we are staying.

Julian- I am driving from Raleigh to C-ville on Saturday the 30th…most likely with P at the Playground. I will have extra room in the rental car if anyone needs a one way free ride from Raleigh to C-Ville (I fly out of RIC on Sunday so that is as far as I could get you on Sunday)

The weather forecast for Fri-Sun in VA/NC is gorgeous. Sunny, dry, 60’s.

Anyone doing Lincoln>March to Restore Sanity>Charlottesville that is coming through Greensboro, NC?  Given the fact that in order to do that it would involve a lot of driving in a relatively short period of time it would be good to at least have someone to split the driving up with.  I don’t necessarily want to add an hour and 45 mins on to my drive on the back end though by coming back through Raleigh or somewhere else.
