I cannot get enough of this song…I just love the breakdown right into a huge buildup. However, I always play around with the lyrics, and no matter how many times I listen or how loud I listen I can never quite understand them all. Please help me…with your own ideas or if someone actually knows all of them to be correct. A little input from hRuby is probably what we really need. Also, is this originally a GUEST song??

One of my favorite versions with PG would have to be 2-20-2010 at The National in Richmond…please let me know what some of your favorite versions are, I would love to give them a listen

ahhh, much thanks. I knew most of the word, was having trouble with the “Amanda” loves wine part, had been substituting lots of names to try to make it sound right. Thansk again

No problem. If you haven’t gotten it yet buy hruby’s solo disc. Fun fun album.

originally was, “Sometimes I’m a man that loves wine” or something like that

I think I remember hR explaining that sometime… maybe at his album release at the 5 Spot?

It’s funny. Amanda only came about because I was originally saying
“Sometimes I’m a man that loves wine, but sometimes a man that loves mind”
insinuating that sometimes I like the drink, and sometimes the conversation.

Then ‘a man that’ sounded better as ‘Amanda’
