IMO, I think a Praise You > Gibbles > Praise You sammy is pretty bad ass, and a lot of people unfamiliar with PGroove would enjoy that.  I look forward to hearing it.

FWIW I’ve seen a number of positive reviews of PGrooves performance across the interwebs today.

Brock also played a solo acoustic set at the WET tent for the Shimon Present’s street-teamer and WET party.  Unfortunately I had to split pretty early on so I’m not sure what he played besides All My Friends

Brock closed out his solo set w/ “crime story” (dmx), did not write down the setlist…  The streaker was during everyone orchestra jam, did not seem to phase the band.

Bingo…i knew i knew it.  just couldnt place it while drinking bourbon all morning.

Too much work on my plate right now to go back and try digging them up now…but I saw several comments on Phantasy Tour, Facebook, as well as talked to a few friends, who aren’t really familiar or into PGroove, and said they thought that they tore it up, and wished they could have played longer.

For me its cover choices like Praise You and the trancey, groovy instrumental songs like Gibbles that really helped attract me to PGroove.  While there are covers and originals I like more than theses two songs, I think this was a fine selection by the band to attract new listeners.

I bet ‘All my friends’ acoustic sounded sweet. We thought we heard Brock say he was playing 3 more times, but didn’t see anything listed anywhere. Guess we could have asked hruby or patrick.  Come to think of it that afternoon solo set wasn’t listed on the main schedule either

They had it listed on the grassroots stage schedule, which was hidden in the booklet with all the band descriptions.

I found some on PT…which blew my mind knowing how much hatred goes on there.

I’m sure that there was some head bangin’ at the end of Gibbles

I think he’s referring to the fact that he got to see a full show in Raleigh.  Besides, it’s just like… his opinion, man.

anyone know a taper that was there?

I received a private message on the taperssection.com message board today asking for help with the Allgood setlist.  Dude says he hopes to upload in the next week or so.

The opening to Gibbles was just nasty, almost like people forgot the name. hRuby’s additions are progressing ever so sweetly, and it was funny I think I re-found my love for the moog as I was waiting impatiently for Brock to start it up haha!

Speed Queen and Stealy Man converted me. I heard them at a festival, but I don’t consider them festival songs. I say let them play what they feel like playing. I can’t think of a show where I left thinking that the setlist was the reason I didn’t enjoy a concert.[/quote

I think…when their music hits you, there’s no turning back. Jason and I were converted NYE in Athens quite a few years ago, at our first show. Oh, and very well spoken Harl:)
