They only had about 30 mins to play…
Didn’t know the name of one song, I’m out the loop, FML…
Three Weeks
Praise You >
New song(?) (Instrumental, dark, lunatix-esque) >
Praise You
That’s all folks. Fwiw, Papadosio murdered it also.

My bad, their set was 40 mins, from 7:05 to 7:45. But yeah, great crowd. This festival is much bigger than I thought. And apparently this is the first year they’ve ever sold out.

Lots of other good bands there…......but ONLY about 45 minutes???!!!.......It’s hard for me to figure going through all the trouble to get there, set up, and play for such a short time. The guys just get going about the 45 minute mark….That surprises me…..just my thought.

although i am sure there are tons of other reasons to play 45 min festival sets, one of the reasons is to turn folks into PG fans who otherwise wouldnt come to a club to see them. it is like a sampler disc. that is why popular ones like “Three Weeks” often shows up at festivals.

the PG set was between George Clinton and Derek Trucks / Susan Tedeschi… there were alot of people there and everyone seemed to be Jamming…. our camp converted at least 4 new perps this weekend (partially due to the delicousness of go-go) , so short set or not I’m sure they lit up some new fans!

That is the correct setlist for their set.
What was the Rap he busted out on his solo deal?
It was pretty on point and well timed.

Brock closed out his solo set w/ “crime story” (dmx), did not write down the setlist… The streaker was during everyone orchestra jam, did not seem to phase the band.

I’m surprised they put Gibbles in such a short set. In front of so many people… Not that it’s a bad song, just not one of their stronger songs IMO

me too - I would have thrown in a Naive Melody or Sledgehammer to go with 3 wks but with Praise You there was already a cover in the set
a Praise You > At The Screen > Praise You would work nice for a short festival set IMO. So would Suburban Speedball as the meat of that sandwhich
but the band forgot to ask me what I thought

Gibbles made it into the Athfest set as well.
I love Gibbles, but I don’t think that it’s a festy song (other than Amberland)

Speed Queen and Stealy Man converted me. I heard them at a festival, but I don’t consider them festival songs. I say let them play what they feel like playing. I can’t think of a show where I left thinking that the setlist was the reason I didn’t enjoy a concert.
