began one of the greatest runs in PG and TIP history. Band was playing out of their minds, and the community turned into a family. 6/30/06 started it all, then the Greentree/Sweatbox run, a brief stop in Beaufort, the infamous Ziggy’s shows, and finally the Orange Peel shows (with the Perry clan rocking out). Did anybody make this whole run (other than Hal of course)?

and the community turned into a family

I would say that the community was really already a tight-knit family, but that particular summer was a time of extreme strengthening and great growth.  wonderful to witness and be a part of.

what an insane summer

i did the Greentree Soapbox shows (Bible Study!!!) and the Orange Peel shows (party cabin and bus what what?!?!)

absolutely insane.  I still can’t believe how we all did that… how did I hold a steady job that summer?!

we need PG to do 8 nights in NC…maybe 2 each at Sweatbox, Lincoln Theatre, Neighborhood Theatre, and the Orange Peel. same dates as the last run though.

That’s when we met, W, splitting the rent in Asheville.  I only made the two Peel shows, but they were nice ones…

i still have mine and brought it to Amberland, but nobody wanted to play with me. “What the hell just happened?” and does anybody still have the picture that was taken of the 2 kids sitting behind the railing at the Greentree? Its the picture that makes them look like they are in jail.

that Wilmington weekend was the worst thing I’ve ever done to griffin….i thought my friend was watching him for longer than they were.  i got talked into sticking around for the second night, and by the time i got home, Griffin had gone for almost 30 hours without going out (and without messing the floor) downer

it really was a fantastic weekend though LOL

Just 6/30 and 7/1.  Was going to go back to 2nd night wilmington but I had a REALLY scary experience on the highway on the way back from night 1 so I stayed home the next night.

I was at the Chapel Hill show (which was my first show after Amberland at Deerfields) (which was my first Amberland and 2nd Pgroove show).  It was awesome.  Remember hanging out with Kat, Linds Smith, Calie, Jen, Ashley, and more.  Amazing Women!  Have the picture to prove it yo!

awesome post. hopefully some more pictures will surface. i wish somebody had taken a video at the Greentree when the security guard leaned against the fence at the pool, and the mass exodus that followed.
