i have been going to MagFest at Suwannee (usually about 2 weeks before Bear Creek) for about 10 years now and I can confirm that last year was unseasonably cold, by a long shot!  no doubt it will be chilly at night, but nothing like last year.

cannot wait to celebrate yet another birthday for Jen with PGoove playing!!  Baaabawk Baaabawk!!

Sounds like a great time.  I have always lived somewhere considered North Florida and it just doesn’t drop below freezing very often.  Having heard what happened last year, be prepared, but for all we know it could be in the 70’s at night during that weekend.  Bring bourbon just in case.

There is a permanent nine hole disc golf course at the Spirit of the Suwanee Park.  I think it will eventually be a full 18 hole course, but either way, what a bonus to have at a music festival.  A few days of nirvana for a dude like me.  As the fest nears, I will make efforts to organize a tee time for disc golfer perps.  For anyone who hasn’t played before, but might enjoy a walk in the park, I will bring a box of discs I’m willing to give away.  Hit me up, get a disc, and have fun!

i’m doing it right for this festival this year!  i am more excited for this event than any other this summer.  that bear creek>jam cruise was one of the most magical music experiences EVER.  this festival, paul the promoter, the attendees, and the land is absolutely amazing.  i love it!

i’m with ya there buddy, i’m pretty sure this is the only other(amberland) camping fest i am willing to do anymore…see the tour v. fest thread

This is the best small festival that you can get. NO DOUBT.

Used to be called Down on the Farm, Now is called Bear Creek. Same person that runs the feasts. And that guy is prob one of the coolest guys i have met.

THe park is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. Just be careful though what you do and who you are talking too.

I for one am more excited about this fest than anything else this year….

BEAR CREEK!!!!!!! Say it like your PISSED!!!!!!!

We have got the set up. Last year was probablly one of the best times i have ever had at a camping music festival…

See yall there. This might be my first new PG v3.0 show unless they get down to FL sometime soon!!!

You have no idea how angry I am about this. Seriously. I have a friend who is getting married in Pheonix and she would be so pissed if I didn’t show, and she would kill me if I went to this instead. LOL Sometimes you just have to suck it up!

And Matty I just said “BEAR CREEK” like 10 times really pissed off. LOL

Some additions…

[quote author=“paulthewolf”]Hey everyone-
We are so excited to announce the addition of Yonder Mountain String Band to headline the Bear Creek line-up. In addition, we have added two special shows featuring The Motet with Kyle Hollingsworth, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, the Chicago Afro-Beat Project, Bonobos Convergence, Deep Blue Sun and the LowDown ThrowDown. We still have two headliners and a few other acts to announce in the coming weeks.
On Thursday night November 13, we will host the Bear Creek pre-festival kick-off party with Perpetual Groove, The Motet featuring Kyle Hollingsworth, DubConscious and Zach Deputy.

Thank you all for the great ideas and support.

This fest is going to be the sh!t (again).  Hope to see a lot of perps make the trip down (again).  You won’t be disappointed.  Just ask anyone that went last year or attended any of the Down on the Farm Festivals.
